The Theatre Anti-Gods
Sometimes the excitement of preparing another production isn’t quite exciting enough.
When the Theatre Anti-Gods come out to make their mischief, this time in the form of Storm Nils that hit us all during Wednesday night, we all suffer. Torrential, persistent rain meant that buckets were in full use by those who suddenly discovered leaks where there had been none before. Storm force winds made short work of anything that hadn’t been tied down and Thursday morning found us hard at work with chainsaws, ladders, spare roof tiles and tarpaulins and looking for outside furniture that was still heading eastwards. I’ve had a huge passion for anything and everything electrical and, as a kid, was sometimes given old plugs & switches by relatives sorting out sheds and the like. I was once even given a new metal cased light switch as a birthday present when I was about fourteen:: can you believe?!
Why not pour yourself a cold drink and escape this sweltering weather for a moment to sit in the cool and read the latest ETC news starting with a great blog from Chris……
I act normal, look normal (for me) and am doing all the things I normally do, but I feel very different inside. Preparing for Quartet has taken up so much of my energy and time and to suddenly be the other side of this extraordinary experience is odd, to say the least.
